1. Prophecy of Ragnarok and Defenders of Valhalla are up-tempo battle metal anthems. Concerning Norns is an interesting track, with spoken word poetry that kicks in after orchestral ensemble, which guides us neatly through to ‘Yggdrasil’. I have to say, you must be doing pretty well if you can get a rhyming couplet to that! But this is seamless.

4. To be frank the music would probably make more of an impact if there were no vocals at all and the album was entirely instrumental. Krimh has proven that music does not need lyrics to be a masterpiece, and The Ragnarok Prophecy might benefit from following his lead. Before I get to my review, I’ve seen hundreds of movies, literally hundreds, but for some reason after watching Thor and seeing all the rolling credits at the end. It made me think about every single name they displayed.

7. This track is perhaps the catchiest and most fun track on the entire album. For a debut, Prophecy of Ragnarok is an absolutely stunning achievement, as it provides an extremely entertaining mix of power, folk symphonic and heavy metal with a wide variety of insanely catchy songs, as well as introducing an excellent vocal duo that instantly.
