  1. The album finishes with a tune called "Nice while it lasted", a song actually written more than 22 years ago, right after the demise of MSB. It does sound like it would have been at home at the end of the "Inside moves' album, or it could have been written yesterday.

A more precious imprint this year is the presence of Mike’s wife, Yvonne, and the fourth generation of Stanleys in Lourdes, their sons: Adam, Joseph and Luke, with of course granddad Tony, Mike’s dad. 7. Ah, but the Rolling Stones have never, in all their lengthy career, used a word like "atavistic'' in a song lyric, as Stanley did for "Little Victories,'' on this current album.
  8. Michael Stanley's latest album is more of a rocker than his previous effort, "The Job.'' And it's a LOT more in the face of his criitics, especially with the song 'Shifting Gears.'.
